I am extremely excited to announce that I have been accepted to the Vermont Studio Center for a four week residency. I also have received a grant to help cover the cost of tuition. This was my first time applying to the program so I was very surprised when I received my acceptance. I will be attending the program from November 23rd to December 19th. I have a few goals in mind that I want to address while there, but I have to see what happens in the next few months before I think of anything too concrete. If you want more information about the program or to apply for it yourself, visit www.vermontstudiocenter.org

Hello Everyone,

New Drawing
Below is my most recently completed drawing called "Radha's Garden". Radha was Krishna's love. I am working to create a more tangible space, a space that the viewer feels they could exist inside of. I have entered this drawing into the Danforth Art Museum's Member's Show so keep your fingers crossed for me! It is charcoal and pastel with collage on paper, and measures 30.5" x 39 1/4" Enjoy!

Kade-wah-nan-des-kah?

Hey all,
Here is a new drawing I recently completed. It is charcoal and pastel on paper and measures about 40"x 50". I am working on trying to create deeper space and including more pattern and color that is still being heavily influenced by African, Indian and Japanese textiles and cultures. Enjoy!

Another Opportunity from Open Studio Press
Hi All,
Below is a call for entries for artists of all mediums. A great opportunity to publish your work! I am now experiencing first hand what all my mentors have been telling me...it is becoming difficult to balance making art, documenting it and showing it, with work, paying bills, friends, travel and family. Making the work is not a problem, in fact that is all I want to do...it's the documenting and submitting that is hard for me! Any suggestions?
The live link isn't working for me right now so just visit www.studiovisitmagazine.com for submissions guidelines...sorry about that!
Hope all is well.
